Principal’s Message
Thank you for another great week at Chambers. It was exciting to have our Kindergarten students attend a traditional field trip to the pumpkin patch. Thank you to all the chaperones that were able to attend. We look forward to field trips throughout the year in the other grade levels as well.
Warmly, Mrs. Gann

Assistant Principal’s Message
Hello Chambers Families!
Attendance Update: We are focused on attendance at Chambers because we know there is a direct connection between academic success and student attendance. I would like to share with you our absences and tardiest from last week:
Monday; 31 Tardies, 28 Absences, total of 59 students impacted
Tuesday; 19 Tardies, 26 Absences, total of 45 students impacted
Wednesday: 11 tardies, 25 Absences, total of 26 students impacted'
Thursday: 10 tardies, 21 Absences, total of 31 students impacted
Friday: 16 tardies, 47 Absences, total of 63 students impacted.
We know that 5 minutes late daily adds up to 3 days lost of school time. We aim to have every student in their seat by 8:15 AM each day, so they do not miss a minute of instruction. I challenge all families to work on being on time and in school every day this week. How low can we get these numbers to go? Remember, breakfast is served at 7:45 AM each day, and drop off for non-breakfast eating students is at 8:00 AM. If you plan to have your student dropped off at 8:00 AM, that allows them plenty of time to walk to class and get ready for the day. Thank you for your partnership in this challenge!
If you need support with attendance or tardiness, please contact me so we can collaborate on a solution.
In other news:
● National Bullying Prevention Month October is National Bullying Prevention Month and to help our school be a safe and respectful place, we are going to use the Second Step Bullying Prevention Unit. In this unit, your child will learn specific skills to help stop bullying. Students will learn how to: Recognize when bullying is happening, report bullying to a caring adult, and refuse to let bullying happen, be a bystander who helps stop bullying, and support someone being bullied by standing up for that person and being kind and inclusive.

Trunk or Treat: Join us for a wild Trunk-or-Treat on Friday, October 28 from 5:30 to 7:30! The events will be walk-through style this year with trunks to treat, a DJ and carnival games in the gym, and the opening night of the Scholastic Book Fair in the library. We'll also have quiet play spaces in the library for students who seek a more controlled atmosphere. BUT, we need your help to pull it off! We're currently seeking donations of candy, decorated trunks, volunteers for the gym, and cashiers and attendants for the Book Fair. Please visit THIS SIGN UP SHEET to grab a spot today (2022 testing: Trunk or Treat, Fall Carnival and Book Fair (signupgenius.com))!
Catalog Sales: We are half-way through our catalog sales and nearly half way toward our fundraising goal! Please check your child's take home materials for a packet, register online via the enclosed instruction, and invite family and friends to purchase from the online catalogs. Students are able to earn prizes for their hard work, and all you have to do is share, share, share to be eligible. Catalog sales close on October 17. Email vicepresident@chambersprimarypta.com with any questions.
Popsicles and Play: The next popsicles and play is Saturday, October 15 @ 1000am. Popsicles and Play is a casual event where kids can play and families can mingle. If it too cold we may have pastries instead. Hope you can join us. Community Resources: FACE is the Family and Community Engagement committee of the Chambers PTA. We are putting together resources for families on the PTA Chambers website and would love to gather information for your knowledge from the community. This data will help other families in the area. Please take the survey below to ensure the PTA is best prepared to serve you. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScAD8p1qOaObTDDgzetc258Yv1-LIsOdiQL5dZMfCcLypN4 wg/viewform?usp=sf_link
Bliss Takeover: Come to Bliss on Tuesday, October 18th to support Chambers! Lucky us, the sunny weather has stayed around and it's a perfect time to indulge in cool treat while benefiting the PTA. Get a cone, get your picture taken with Champ, and enjoy some time together with fellow Chambers Primary families. You can come any time during the day - just tell them you're with Chambers!
