Principal’s Message

Thank you for another great week at Chambers! The PTA Fall Festival/Trunk or Treat was a huge success last Friday and I enjoyed seeing so many families. This morning, I was able to observe our 3rd graders rehearse for their upcoming music performance in honor of Veterans Day and cannot wait for you to see them Tuesday evening.

Warmly, Mrs. Gann

Assistant Principal’s Message Hello Chambers Families!

Hello Chambers Families!

Thank you for attending conferences this week. It was a true pleasure to meet so many of you and partner together to ensure your student excels as a Chamber Bulldog.

Attendance Update: We will continue to focus on attendance at Chambers because we know there is a direct connection between academic success and student attendance. Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school—and themselves. Start building this habit as early as kindergarten so they learn right away that going to school on time and being present every day is important. Good attendance will help children do well in high school, college, and at work. However, if your student is experiencing illness symptoms, please keep them at home to reduce the spread of the illness. I understand, as a parent, it is a constant battle between battling sickness and ensuring your student is at school. So, please, communicate with us, and we can partner to find the best option for your child and ensure they do not get behind in their school work. I would like to share with you our absences and tardies from last week:

I would like to share with you our absences and tardies from last week:

Monday; 17 Tardies (Up 7 from last week), 55 Absences (up 7 from last week), total of 72 students impacted

Tuesday; 9 Tardies (Down 5 from last week),54 Absences,(up 22 from last week) total of 53 students impacted

Wednesday: 9 tardies (up 2 from last week), 57 Absences (up 22 from last week), total of 56 students impacted

Thursday: 9 tardies (down 3 from last week), 57 Absences (up 15 from last week), total of 56 students impacted

Friday: 14 tardies (down 2 from last week), 64 Absences (up 18 from last week), total of 78 students impacted

Remember, breakfast is served at 7:45 AM each day, and drop off for non-breakfast eating students is at 8:00 AM. If you plan to have your student dropped off at 8:00 AM, that allows them plenty of time to walk to class and get ready for the day. I challenge all families to work on being on time and in school every day this week. How low can we get these numbers to go?

If you need support with attendance or tardiness, please contact me so we can collaborate on a solution. Have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to seeing many of you next week!

Yours Truly,

Mrs. Vaughan

Chambers Primary PTA

Thank you to everyone who has supported and participated in PTA activities this year. Trunk or Treat and the Book Fair were loads of fun last Friday. Follow us on Facebook for photos of the event. Chambers Primary PTA | Facebook The Book Fair continued strong this week and a portion of each sale will go directly to the library to purchase new books!!

● Our BelieveKids and restaurant take-overs have been a huge success and raised over $10,000 so far. Shout out to students Blaine and Maya for selling the most items of the Believe Kids Fundraiser. Delivery and pickup of the Believe Kids fundraisers are still being decided but will be the week before or after Thanksgiving. We have one more fundraiser this fall at MOD pizza on November 22. Everyone's participation in the fundraisers is so appreciated and allows us to keep doing fun activities and support the school and staff.

● Family Directory: Chambers Primary PTA is putting together a directory so families can easily connect with other families that have kids that attend Chambers. Participation is optional. If you would like to participate please click on the link and fill out the information about your student and your contact information. If you have more than one student, please fill it out for each student. The directory will only be provided to families that participate. Chambers Primary PTA Directory for Families (google.com)

● Science Fair Club and Volunteer Opportunity: We will be hosting a Science Fair from late November to the end of January. The purpose of the Science Fair is to help students with science or engineering projects. This club will meet for 2 months: Tuesdays, 2:40-3:40pm, starting Nov 29th, and running till the end of January. Kids will have the opportunity to participate in the Discovery Regional Science Fair if they want to, and they will get to share their projects at the Chambers PTA STEAM night! We need a few adults who would like to work with kids who are interested in exploring a science or engineering project this year. Adults will help kids think about what kind of science or engineering project they would like to do and work through some simple questions and procedures with the kids.
